About Us
Adapting to a new environment is not easy! We are a community of friends who love to share our lives with one another through practicing conversational English. We meet every Thursday night from 6:30-8:30 PM to talk about a wide range of topics, from Silicon Valley work culture to our favorite hobbies. We celebrate major holidays together such as Valentine's Day, Easter, and July 4th. We also host monthly Saturday hangouts, including hikes, BBQ, pickleball and dumpling making.

We are a ministry of CCIC Mountain View and Redeemer Bible Fellowship. We welcome people of all religious backgrounds.
Typical Format
We meet on Thursday nights from 6:30-8:30 PM.
Dinner
(6:30-7:15 PM)
We share a meal while doing an icebreaker question.
Dinner is provided!
Large Group Activity
(7:15-7:50 PM)
We do a group activity together. Past group activities include skits, debates, panels, games, and so on.
Vocab & Discussions
(7:50-8:30 PM)
We learn new vocabulary and go over discussion questions in smaller groups.

How good does my English have to be to come?
This group will be most helpful to those who have some English speaking abilities and want to practice their conversational English in a welcoming environment. We are not an ESL program, but could be a helpful supplement to people who are in ESL programs.
Who are your current participants?
Our current participants primarily come from Latin America, China, Russia and Ukraine. Our participants have a wide range of ages, from college-aged to grandparent-aged :). All are welcome!

What is CCIC-MV and RBF? Why do you host this group?
CCIC-MV (Chinese Church in Christ - Mountain View) is a non-denominational Christian church in the Mountain View area and RBF (Redeemer Bible Fellowship) is the English ministry of and to CCIC-MV. We host this group out of love for God and as a way to serve our community.
